UwB IntroMed is a one or two-semester program offered by University of Białystok to foreign students who want to improve their knowledge and skills in natural sciences before they start medical studies. The program prepares for the entrance exam at Medical University of Białystok, as well as other medical programs in Poland.
UwB also offers English courses before the IntroMed course. Participation in the IntroMed course requires certified proof of English skills.
Apart from the courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics the program provides an opportunity to acquive basic skills in Polish. The UwB IntroMed program, the total of 800 hours, is split between two semesters, or 500 hours (one semester) and it covers lectures, practical classes and laboratories. Coursework is evaluated on the basis of continuous assessment and end-of-term exams.
The completion of Intromed Course does not guarantee the acceptance for Medical Studies. The applicant must also pass the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®).
